Why Mezzo
The leader in prefabricated homes for transitional housing
Mezzo Homes delivers a made-in-Canada solution to the chronic shortage of transitional housing. We build innovative ready-to-move (RTM) homes in our plant that can be shipped by road or rail to nearly anywhere for onsite installation.
Our business model centers on creating 10-home Mezzo Communities, which include our one- and two-bedroom homes, as well as our universal-accessible model. Additionally, we incorporate a separate building, the Central Mezzo, to serve as a versatile shared space for residents and program delivery.
We prepare the site, run the services, install homes, complete all hook-ups, build roads, parking, pathways, and landscaping. We can even gate the community. Customers only need to supply the land, road, and services to the site – we take care of the rest.
Affordable, sustainable, and quality construction
Our innovative approach to Mezzo Community development offers notable cost savings compared to competitors. Through design and manufacturing innovations, our homes are not only affordable but also energy-efficient and sustainable. All Mezzo homes meet an NBC Tier 4 level of performance, which has been rated by Efficiency Manitoba. Mezzo Homes are built to serve your community for generations to come.

Transitional housing on your land, for your people
Our primary focus is helping Indigenous communities to develop transitional housing on their own land, particularly in rural and remote areas. Too often, there are not enough transitional housing units within the community, forcing people in need to leave for unfamiliar centres for healing or worse, return to the environment they just left.
While funding programs are often available for transitional housing projects, we recognize that communities vary in their eligibility readiness and that funding requirements can be onerous and challenging to navigate. Mezzo Homes is well-versed in CMHC, ISC, and CFS funding protocols, and we maintain excellent working relationships with these organizations. When needed, we can assist communities with the necessary paperwork and funding preparation.
