Mezzo homes are thoughtfully designed to meet residents’ needs for comfort, safety, and quality of life. Our homes are fully furnished, stocked, and decorated – from flat-screen TVs to flatware, linens, and laundry detergent. Additionally, for our customers, our homes are built with a focus on durability, affordability, and ultra-low service costs, all supported by exceptional customer service. Mezzo homes are prefabricated and built indoors in a controlled environment, ensuring cost-effective construction and consistent quality.
Sustainability is built in
All Mezzo homes are energy-efficient and have been rated at an NBC Tier 4 through Efficiency Manitoba. Our proprietary building envelope utilizes Advanced Framing with soy-based spray foam insulation in the walls, floors, and ceiling. Combined with an energy-efficient, triple-glazed, Low-E window and door package, this system provides an industry-leading R-value. The buildings meet a Passive House level of airtightness at 0.6 ACH @ 50 pa., virtually eliminating drafts. An air source heat pump and efficient HRV ventilation system ensure fresh, conditioned air year-round. Mezzo fully electric homes are solar- and net-zero-ready.
A foundation that communities can build on
Our homes are built for the rigours of road and rail transportation, ensuring decades of service life. Mezzo homes can even be relocated after initial installation, allowing them to be transferred to new communities or for new applications.
Safety and durability features include natural wood interior wall panels instead of fragile drywall, shatterproof Lexan exterior window panes, and passcode entry locks. Metal siding and roofing ensure low maintenance, durability and improved protection from wildfires in remote areas.

The Micro Mezzo
Mezzo’s one-bedroom, 444-square-foot home is ideal for couples and singles. It features high ceilings, natural wood finishes throughout, a spacious bedroom, and a comfortable, open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area. There is also a combined storage, laundry, and mechanical room – washer/dryer combo is included. The Micro includes an exterior front deck, allowing residents to enjoy the outdoors.
Like all Mezzo homes, the Micro is move-in ready and comes fully decorated, furnished and stocked – only groceries are required.

For added convenience and storage, it includes a combined laundry and mechanical room with a washer/dryer combo. An exterior deck extends the living space outdoors.
The two-bedroom Mezzo is move-in ready and fully decorated, furnished, and stocked, except for groceries.

The Universal Mezzo
The Universal Mezzo is a one-bedroom, 576-square-foot home designed for accessibility for all life stages. This home is designed and built to meet the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification™ (RHFAC) Program standards (certification in process).
Like other Mezzo homes, the Universal features high ceilings, natural wood interior finishing, a spacious main bedroom and a large open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area. For added convenience and storage, it includes a combined laundry and mechanical room with a washer/dryer combo. An exterior deck extend and a ramp extends the living space outdoors.
Accessibility features include:
- Larger washroom with accessible shower and fixtures
- Accessible kitchen sink and counter height, with knee clearance
- Expanded radius and clear space in all rooms and living areas

The Central Mezzo
Where the community comes together.
All Mezzo 10-home communities include an additional building called the Central Mezzo. This 576-square-foot unit serves as the hub and gathering space for the Mezzo Community, surrounded by the 10 homes. It is a versatile space ideal for group activities such as counselling, workshops, group cooking, and sharing, as well as for providing one-on-one services and programming.
The Central Mezzo is designed and built to universal accessible standards for all community members. It is constructed to the same exacting standards of quality and efficiency as our Mezzo Homes.
The Central Mezzo includes a universal-access kitchen & bathroom, a communal area, and a mechanical and storage room. It is designed to address the specific needs of your community and serves as an ideal space for providing various services and program support to community members. Our advisors at Mezzo can also assist you in selecting, adopting, and delivering quality programs, such as the TEACH program, which helps post-CFS youth transition successfully and safely into adulthood. The Mezzo Community
Delivering affordable prefabricated housing for communities everywhere.
The Mezzo Community concept is built around a 10-home configurable micro-community situated on approximately 250×250-foot lots. All 10 homes share centralized infrastructure (electrical, water, and sewer) for an unbeatable per-home construction and installation cost.
We work closely with customers to plan the ideal mix of one- and two-bedroom homes, as well as accessible options.
Customers need land with road access and services connected to the site, and we handle the rest, including surveying, environmental assessments, site preparation, service hookup, landscaping, parking, and pathways. We can even gate your Mezzo community with controlled access for added security.
Mezzo homes are built indoors and prepared for transport at our production facility. Our homes can be delivered by truck or rail to almost anywhere, including remote communities. All Mezzo homes are highly energy-efficient, low-maintenance, and are solar-ready, offering the lowest energy costs available.
