Military housing

Purpose-built for the demands of service

Mezzo builds premium modular homes suited to defence applications across Canada — factory-built, fully furnished, and engineered for rapid deployment to bases, training facilities, and remote installations.

Modular construction, ready for the mission

Canada is making its largest investment in defence housing in generations, and modular construction has been identified as a key method for delivering it — quickly, sustainably, and at scale.

That’s what Mezzo does. Our homes are factory-built to a 100-year standard, transported by road or rail, and installed in a fraction of conventional construction timelines. Quality housing supports recruitment, retention, and readiness — and personnel posted to remote locations deserve the same standard of living as anyone else. Every Mezzo home delivers it.

Engineered for every posting

From prairie winters to northern operations, Mezzo homes are built for the country they serve. A proprietary spray-foam building envelope, rated NBC Tier 4 and verified by Efficiency Manitoba, delivers draft-free comfort at -40 and the lowest operating costs in the category. Every home arrives fully furnished and stocked, in one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and studio floor plans — occupancy-ready on arrival.

All homes are fully electric, solar-ready, and suited to off-grid operation. And because they’re built to move, housing can redeploy as requirements change.

Central to everywhere

Mezzo homes are built indoors at our factory in Selkirk, Manitoba — at the geographic centre of Canada, with direct road and rail access east, west, and north. From a single facility, we deliver commissioned, move-in-ready housing to installations coast to coast to coast.

From 5 to 50+ units, Mezzo handles site planning, ground preparation, installation, utility connections, and landscaping. One contract, one accountable partner, occupancy-ready.

A qualified partner for defence procurement

Mezzo Homes is a Métis-owned builder — directly supporting Indigenous procurement targets and Indigenous Benefits Plans that now apply across federal defence contracting. We work with the Department of National Defence’s delivery agencies, prime contractors, and defence subcontractors alike.
