frequently asked questions

What is unique about Mezzo Homes?

Mezzo Homes offers first time home owners, small families, retirees and everyone in between the opportunity to downsize without sacrificing the luxuries and amenities of the typical home. With your choice of 3 different color schemes, you can make your Mezzo unique to fit your lifestyle.

We live in Manitoba, Canada. Will these homes be warm enough?

Absolutely! Mezzo Homes have been designed with the unruly Manitoba winters in mind. Our homes are well insulated, have a whole-home in-floor hydronic heating system, a forced air unit and ducting used to circulate warm air via an HRV system. With a number of past customers currently living in our homes, we are proud to say there have been no issues, even with temperatures dipping below -50° C.

Will you be building Mezzo Homes in Winnipeg?

Although, technically we could, Mezzo Homes are quite wide and require a minimum frontage of 45 feet. Since most vacant lots in the city are closer to 30 feet of frontage it has not been an option, as of yet! Given the opportunity we would love to build one of our homes in the city and change up the cookie cuter approach to home building.

Are these homes built from shipping containers?

No, these modular homes are actually built using 2x6 construction on helical piles. Our unique exterior look comes from utilizing extremely durable materials such as James-Hardie fiber cement siding and metal cladded roofing. We have designed these homes to be as maintenance free as possible. Both our siding and roof materials have a lifespan of 50+ years reducing costs for homeowners substantially over the course of home ownership.
