Indigenous Housing

Housing built around your community’s needs

A home should be a place of dignity, pride, and belonging. Mezzo delivers premium, fully furnished homes configured to your community’s needs — housing, healing, and everything in between.

Move-in ready from day one

Family housing. Elder housing. Program support housing. Whatever your community is building, every Mezzo home arrives the same way — complete.

Every Mezzo home arrives designed, decorated, fully furnished, and fully stocked — from the furniture and appliances down to the linens, cookware, and laundry detergent. No other builder does this. Residents walk in the door and they’re home: a beautiful, comfortable space they can feel proud of from day one.

For Housing Directors, this changes everything. There’s no furnishing project after delivery, no gap between installation and occupancy. When the homes arrive, your program can begin.

A sound community and financial investment

Our innovative 100-year homes provide high-quality, cost-effective, extremely energy-efficient housing for Indigenous communities. NBC Tier 4 rated, with the lowest energy costs in the category — and solar options available for communities pursuing energy independence.

Choose from one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and studio floor plans, including a universally accessible model. From 5 to 50+ homes, configured to your community’s needs — on your land, close to family, friends, and support.

Project management to see it through

Our team works closely with Housing Directors and community leadership, supporting your entire development process. We can help vet proposals and set up your housing management program. Project management is included with every Mezzo project, and we keep you informed through construction, delivery, and installation. Mezzo is relationship-driven — we stand by our work and stay connected with your community long after the keys are handed over.

Turn-key solution, literally

Mezzo handles everything from the factory floor to your front doors. We work with you to plan the site, then prepare the ground, install the homes, connect water, power, and sewer, and complete the landscaping. When we’re done, your homes are commissioned and occupancy-ready.

Need program or gathering space? An optional multi-purpose building can anchor your site — ideal for program delivery, administration, offices, and community activities. Security options are also available, including perimeter fencing, keypad entry, and shatter-resistant windows.

Administrative support when it’s needed

Through our advisory services, Mezzo supports communities that need assistance with CMHC, CFS, and ISC funding applications. We understand the process in depth, having worked directly with many Indigenous communities on housing projects, and we maintain strong working relationships with these organizations.

We can help with documentation and applications to secure funding and get your housing project underway sooner.

The Sacred Seven

A Mezzo program for Indigenous youth

Every year, Indigenous youth age out of Child and Family Services and face adulthood without housing, income, or support — at the moment they need it most.

The Sacred Seven is Mezzo’s answer: a purpose-built community of seven homes — six for youth transitioning out of care, and a seventh for the Elders who guide them. Grounded in the Seven Sacred Teachings — humility, love, wisdom, truth, respect, honesty, and bravery — the program pairs safe, dignified housing with Elder-led life-skills programming, designed to align with CFS funding requirements.

A home, a mentor, and a path forward — inside the community.
